EXHIBITION & INFORMATION RESOURCE FOR LIBRARIES Many people have heard of kosher wine, but few actually know the meaning of kosher wine and what are the differences between kosher and non-kosher wine. The exhibition “What is Kosher Wine?” will remove the veil of mystery surrounding kosher wine, and clearly explain what it is, what are the biblical and rabbinical laws that apply to the production of kosher wine, and what are the ancient sources of these laws. The exhibition will include splendid photography that vividly illustrates the abstract principles behind the kosher-wine laws. The exhibition will present kosher wine as a cultural phenomenon, not just from the religious point of view. It will review the evolution of the kosher-wine laws from the original biblical commandments to the present day, and will describe the many innovations that have taken place over thousands of years in response to changing social, agricultural and economic norms.
